Important Announcement: December 2023 Term-End Examination Date Sheet and Guidelines

Greetings, dear IGNOU students! We are delighted to bring you an important update regarding the upcoming December 2023 Term-End Examination. In this notification, we will share the tentative date sheet, provide guidelines for filling up the examination form, and address any concerns related to examination clashes. Please read on for crucial information to ensure a smooth examination process.

Tentative Date Sheet:
The date sheet for the December 2023 Term-End Examination has been released. It is important to note that this schedule is tentative and subject to change. As the examination draws near, we recommend regularly visiting the official IGNOU website for any updates. The portal for online submission of the Examination Form will be opened in due course.

Guidelines for Filling up the Examination Form:
To ensure a hassle-free process, please adhere to the following general conditions while filling up the Examination Form online:

1. Valid Registration: Ensure that your course registration is valid and not time-barred. Students with active and valid registrations are eligible to appear for the examination.

2. Assignment Submission: It is mandatory to have submitted the required number of assignments by the specified due date, as per the guidelines of your respective program. Please refer to the provisions of your program to ensure compliance.

3. Minimum Duration Completion: Candidates must have completed the minimum duration required to pursue the courses, as specified by the program guidelines. Ensure that you have met this criterion before appearing for the examination.

Exam Clash: Exception Cases:
While scheduling the examinations, we make every effort to avoid clashes. However, clashes may occur under certain circumstances. Please note that no consideration will be given to clashes in the following cases:

1. Same Group Courses: If you have courses from the same group (Group-1 to Group-6), please be aware that exams for courses within a particular group are conducted on the same date and time.

2. Backlog Courses: Students with backlog courses from different years may find that the examination dates clash with other exams.

3. Different Programs: If you are pursuing courses from different programs, clashes in the examination schedule may occur.

4. MP Programs: In MP Programs, clashes may arise if you have chosen courses from different specializations within the program.

Discrepancy Reporting:
If you notice any discrepancies in the date sheet, please bring them to our attention. However, please note that discrepancy reports will only be entertained for cases other than those mentioned in points 3, 6, and 7 above. Kindly email your discrepancy reports in the specified format to datesheet@ignou.ac.in before 11.08.2023. Requests for changes after this date cannot be accommodated.
