Many schools and colleges of nursing are making a concerted effort to follow the norms set by the Council, there are also many instances where these norms are not being followed.

One of the most significant challenges faced by schools and colleges of nursing in India is the shortage of qualified faculty members. Many schools and colleges are struggling to find enough qualified nursing professionals to meet the demand for education and training. As a result, many institutions are forced to hire unqualified or under-qualified faculty members, which can negatively impact the quality of education and training provided to students.

Another challenge faced by schools and colleges of nursing is the lack of adequate infrastructure and resources. Many institutions do not have sufficient classrooms, laboratories, and clinical areas to provide students with a high-quality educational experience. In addition, many institutions do not have access to modern technology, such as computers and internet access, which can limit students' ability to access information and resources related to nursing.

In terms of evaluation and assessment, many schools and colleges of nursing are not following the norms set by the Council. Many institutions are relying solely on internal assessments, such as class tests and practical exams, rather than including external assessments, such as written exams conducted by the Council. This can result in a lack of objective evaluation and assessment of students' knowledge and skills, which can negatively impact their preparation for the nursing profession.
