Azeotropic distillation is a method of separating azeotropic mixtures, which are liquids that have a constant boiling point and cannot be separated by simple distillation. In such mixtures, the composition of the vapor produced during boiling is the same as that of the liquid mixture, which results in difficulties in separation.
